APATAP 2026 Conference - Abstraction Submission Form

The Asia Pacific Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (APATAP) invites abstract submissions for our 2025 Conference. The conference takes place from Wednesday, 18 November 2026, to Friday, 20 November 2026 (inclusive).

All presentations will take place in person at Monash University, 750 Collins Street, Docklands (Melbourne) (Note that APATAP reserves the right to change conference venue due to operational reasons)

All presenters must register for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fee. Presenters receive a 15% discount on registration.

You must submit a short bio, 200 words or fewer and a photo along with your abstract submission.

Abstract submission closes on Friday, 3 April 2026. APATAP will notify you of the outcome two weeks after this deadline. Please note that the Committee may approve abstract submissions as we receive them, so we encourage interested presenters to submit their abstracts early.

In 2026, our theme “Repair and Restorative Practice in Threat Assessment and Management” will explore how professionals can balance accountability with healing, emphasising pathways that restore safety, dignity, and trust in individuals, organisations, and communities. We welcome abstract submission highlighting:

  • The intersection of restorative justice with traditional threat assessment approaches

  • Practical strategies for repairing harm and rebuilding relationships

  • Innovations in prevention, intervention, and reintegration practices

  • Case studies from diverse sectors, including education, corporate, law enforcement, government, and community organisations

  • Restoring trust, safety and wellbeing for threat assessment professionals after being targets of threat and violence

APATAP also welcomes submissions relating to broader threat assessment and management contexts that may not align with the conference theme.
