APATAP Membership

Membership of APATAP is available to those who, within their professional duties conduct threat assessments, stalking risk assessments and violence risks assessments, or are conducting research into these areas. Membership is also open to those providing legal services or counsel, mental health care, or security management of related cases.

These opportunities are extended to members prior to the Annual General Meeting.

Membership Categories

Membership can be obtained at two distinct levels.

Affiliate membership can be granted to those who have applied for membership without the endorsement of existing members. This grade of membership is encouraged for students and those new to the field who are seeking to further their knowledge and establish professional connections within the threat management field.

Professionals, clinicians, researchers or academics must provide at least one professional referee to attest their work in behavioural risk or threat assessment.

Students and new graduates wishing to join APATAP should provide a written reference and contact details from their university or academic staff to confirm their interest in threat assessment and management.

General membership requires nomination by two existing members who are general members or above and approval by the APATAP Committee.

Concession membership is also available for verified full-time students and concession card holders. Please get in touch with APATAP to ask about concession membership.

Join APATAP

To become an APATAP member, select the membership level below and follow the prompts.

Please note that there is a one-off processing fee of AUD$110 for new member registrations.

For existing members (pre-2021), the membership period runs from 1 July – 1 July. For all new applications, your membership will last for 12 months from the approval date. You will receive reminders when your membership is due for renewal before your credit card is charged.

Once your membership application has been approved, you will receive a welcome email from the APATAP Team.
