The Asia Pacific Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (APATAP) is proud to announce that our 2026 Annual Conference will be held in Melbourne, Australia—a city celebrated for its culture, innovation, and global outlook.

This flagship event will bring together leading experts, practitioners, and researchers from across the Asia Pacific and around the world, creating a vital space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration in the field of threat assessment and management.

In 2026, our theme “Repair and Restorative Practice in Threat Assessment and Management” will explore how professionals can balance accountability with healing, emphasising pathways that restore safety, dignity, and trust in individuals, organisations, and communities. We welcome abstract submission highlighting:

  • The intersection of restorative justice with traditional threat assessment approaches

  • Practical strategies for repairing harm and rebuilding relationships

  • Innovations in prevention, intervention, and reintegration practices

  • Case studies from diverse sectors including education, corporate, law enforcement, government, and community organisations

  • Restoring trust, safety and wellbeing for of threat assessment professionals after being targets of threat and violence
