APATAP Champion - Partnerships Award
The APATAP Champions - Partnerships Award recognises individuals or organisations that have made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the advancement of threat assessment and management in the Asia Pacific region. Dr Stephen D Hart
APATAP is honoured to present the Champions Partnership Award to Professor Stephen D. Hart for his countless contributions to our conferences and community, his many presentations over the years, and his reliable presence as a constant figure in the field of threat assessment. As a leading international scholar and practitioner in clinical and forensic psychology, Professor Hart has advanced evidence-based approaches that shape how threat assessment and management is understood and practised worldwide. He has generously brought this expertise to the Asia–Pacific through his sustained teaching, mentorship, and participation in APATAP events.
As President of the Canadian Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (CATAP), Professor Hart has strengthened the bridge between APATAP and the Canadian community, fostering vital international partnerships. Importantly, through his practice and generous contribution of time and knowledge, he has enabled APATAP to deliver resources and professional development that have enriched our members and strengthened the field across the region. His enduring support and wisdom have profoundly enhanced our Association and the profession.

APATAP is honoured to present the Champions Partnership Award to Totti Karpela, a true original in the field of threat assessment whose unwavering commitment has shaped the growth of our Association. Over the years, Totti has been a constant presence—attending every AGM and conference, and for the past decade, being the very first to register for our annual conference. His loyalty and dedication exemplify the spirit of partnership on which APATAP was built.
As a long-standing friend of the Association, Totti has generously shared his deep expertise and international perspective, bringing lessons from AETAP to enrich the Asia Pacific region. His contribution has strengthened cross-regional collaboration, supported the professional growth of members, and ensured APATAP remains connected to the global threat assessment community. Dr Majeed Khader
APATAP is honoured to present the Champions Partnership Award to Dr Majeed Khader for his extraordinary contribution to advancing evidence-based threat assessment and management across the Asia–Pacific.
