C. Joshua Villines, Executive Director, The Human Intelligence Group and Threat Assessment Principal, Emory University Police Department

C. Joshua Villines is the Executive Director of the Human Intelligence Group, in Atlanta. Mr. Villines works as a consultant, expert witness, and instructor for both law enforcement and the private sector, focused primarily on behavioral threat assessment/management and criminal violence prevention. In addition to holding all three ASIS certifications, Mr. Villines is certified in behavioral threat management, as a Certified Threat Manager (CTM), through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. He serves on the Board of Directors for the ATAP – Southeast Chapter, and is also a member of the ASIS International Global Board of Directors. Mr. Villines was a contributor to the updated ANSI/ISO workplace violence prevention standard, and served as the lead author on the threat assessment annex for the forthcoming ANSI/ISO school security standard. A veteran of U.S. Army Intelligence, Mr. Villines holds master’s degrees from Vanderbilt University and Mercer University, and completed his undergraduate education at Berry College and at the U.S. Defense Language Institute.
