Marlene C is a Psychologist with the Singapore Prison Service, where she’s spent the last decade navigating the fascinating, & often complex, world of human behaviour behind bars. Trained as a Counselling Psychologist, she specialises in risk assessments for violent offenders & those with personality difficulties - work that keeps her both grounded in science & humbled by the human condition. Her curiosity doesn’t stop at working with offenders. She’s passionate about the emerging frontier of psych-tech, asking questions like: Can AI help us spot patterns that humans might miss? Can it cut through bias, shine a light on blind spots, & save us time - without drowning clinicians in data or replacing the very thing that matters most: professional judgement?
