Ms. Shi Ning Wong, Psychologist, Singapore Prison Service

Wong Shi Ning is a developing psychologist with the Singapore Prison Service, where she has been serving for approximately 2.5 years. A graduate of the pioneer cohort of the SUSS Master of Forensic Psychology programme in 2024, she was fortunate to secure a role at her dream workplace in the correctional setting. Currently positioned in the General Violence Unit, she provides psychological assessments & rehabilitation services for inmates with violent offences. Her responsibilities also involve collaborating with prison staff to manage the Violent Transformational Environment (VTE) & working closely with community agencies to enhance rehabilitation efforts. Her research interests include psychological profiling of serial offenders, the impact of trauma on violent behaviour & the risk assessment & management of violent offenders.
