Ms. Yan Ling Leow, Lead Psychologist, Singapore Prison Service
Yan Ling is a Lead Psychologist with the Singapore Prison Service with over a decade of experience in organisational & forensic psychology. She graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Forensic Psychology (Distinction) from King’s College London in 2020. In her current role as Assistant Director of the General Violent Unit, Yan Ling oversees the provision of psychological services for inmates sentenced for violent offences. She has collaborated closely with stakeholders to strengthen the Violence Transformational Environment(VTE), which supports offenders undergoing violence intervention programmes in SPS. She is passionate about shaping the environment as she believed that meaningful change takes place in safe, supportive relationship & spaces. Beyond custodial settings, she has championed efforts to build sustainable bridges for released violent offenders through partnerships with community agencies, including the successful collaboration with Thye Hua Kwan & the Brotherhood support group.
